To prepare the presentation and products for the first Ikea store in India, located in the Hitec City business area of Hyderabad (State of Telangana), opening by early 2018, the Swedish retail giant conducted a detailed personal survey of 500 Indian households to tailor its service offering to their specific needs. The new store will have a sales area of 40,000 sq.m. and expects up to 4 million visitors in the initial 12 months.
