The French department store Le Bon Marché (owned by LVMH) has transformed its food department into a standalone format. In November 2017, a “Grande Epicerie” store opened on 3,000 sq.m GLA in Paris (rue de Passy), mixing retail with a restaurant of 116 seats. In Le Bon Marché department store, sales of this food section are estimated at €550 million/ year.
