As the disenchantment with the car continues in a city, Ingka Centres opened a first ever urban shopping centre in Europe on 24th February 2022, under the Livat banner. Covering 27,133 sqm GLA and 33 shops, it is in Hammersmith, west London. Despite high vacancy in London, the centre is 100% occupied, the group said. After an investment of over €200 million and two years of work, Livat Hammersmith now replaces the Kings Mall on King Street.
