While McDonald’s has been the subject of numerous calls for boycotts over the last 6 months, on April 4, 2024 the group announced the purchase of the Israeli franchisee Alonyal Ltd. Created 30 years ago with initial licensing agreements, the business operates 225 restaurants and 5,000 staff. The value of the transaction and a completion date were not disclosed.
