Mercadona increases the pay of all staff by 8.5%

From 2025, to increase the purchasing power of staff, Spanish largest grocery retailer Mercadona (turnover 2023: €35.53 billion, up 15% in a year via 1,681 stores) is increasing salaries of all 104,000 staff. The 8.5%-uplift corresponds to the countries’ HICP in which the chain operates, namely Spain and Portugal.
