Takeover talks between Alimentation Couche-Tard (ACT) and Seven & I (2024 revenue: 122 billion dollars, up by 4.4% year-on-year) have ended after a year. On July 16, ACT (2024 revenue: 72.9 billion dollars, up by 5.2%), which aimed to consolidate a global network of 107,000 convenience stores following the acquisition of Seven Eleven convenience stores, finally withdrew a 46 billion dollars takeover bid.
