Repacking workshops, sending spare parts to customers... To get more value out of returned products, the furniture pure-player is stepping up initiatives. A 2 month-trial increased returned packages sold at full price from 20% to 50%.
As with all home furnishings retailers, returns are a major issue for Rendez Vous Deco company, because products are bulky and therefore expensive to transport. Two months ago, the pure-player (€20 million turnover in 2022 via 60,000 parcels delivered per year) focused on efficient use of returns for resale. Partnering with service provider Yusen Logistics, the firm is running a pilot of a repacking workshop, which enables damaged boxes to be reconditioned.
