Hit by a 10% sale drop in 2017, the low-price fashion retailer Pimkie (750 stores including 300 in France) will close 35 stores in Germany and 15 in Austria by June 2019. In 2015, Pimkie shifted its consumer target from women aged 15-25 to women aged 18-34. However, profits have been elusive for 3 years. With more than 100 stores, Germany is among its three biggest global markets alongside Spain and Italy.
