At the end of August 2021, Thailand’s largest retailer by sales Central Retail acquired a majority stake in the property-owner company Siam Future Development, for US$400 million.

Siam Future Development manages 18 shopping centres across Thailand covering a total of 431,000 sq.m GLA. In particular, it owns the Mega Bangna mall, one of the busiest malls in Bangkok with Ikea as an anchor tenant.
