According to the GFK institute, European purchasing power (revenue available for spending and savings) will climb by 1.9% in 2017 after a 0.3% increase last year. It calculates as an average of €13,937 per person in the 42 European countries surveyed. As in 2016, Spain (at €14,080 per capita) is the only country to match this European average. Liechtenstein (€63,267/ cap.), Switzerland (€42,142/cap.) and Iceland (€33,399/ cap.) have the highest average purchasing power, whereas Bela
