Faced with threats of seizure and nationalization of their assets (including brands), some retailers have decided to close down in Russia. In mid-May, Shell sold its fleet of 411 service stations to Lukoil, Russia’s largest oil company.
The sneaker brand Reebok (part of Authentic Brands Group) is in discussions with the Turkish wholesale company FLO to sell its 100 stores in Russia as well as its e-commerce site. According to Kommersant, the deal could be worth around US$25 million.
