While the European Commission is set to vote on delegated acts to specify requirements for home appliances, Darty is accelerating a Digital Product Passport (DPP) push by integrating new products from its private labels since January 2026. Deployed on refurbished large appliances since March 2025, the Digital Product Passport (DPP) is becoming widespread for new products at Darty home appliance retailer. This unique QR code attached to the item via a label has been deployed on new large appliances since January 2026, i.e. washing machines, dishwashers and fridges. As a reminder, the group started in October 2024, with a test on refurbished products from the Paris Olympic Games athletes’ village.
