The highly fragmented sector of coffee shops is consolidating. The Russian coffee retailer Cantata, which runs 260 coffee and tea shops in Russia, Armenia, Belgium and Cyprus, took a majority stake inFrench rival Coffea, which runs 46 stores of 60 sq.m GLA on average including 18 franchises.
