The North American department store retailer Saks Fifth Avenue signed a franchising agreement with Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Group to open its first stores in India’s largest cities. The first department store is expected to open by early 2018 in Delhi’s Aerocity Mall, near the Indira Gandhi International Airport. A second unit is planned for Mumbai, at Bharti Realty’s Worldmark.
