In the holiday season, Tiffany’s sales fell by 14% in its 5th Avenue flagship (New York) located near the Trump Tower, amid protests, intense media and security presence. In Q4 2016, Tiffany’s total sales declined by 4% in the U.S.A., as tourists reduced their spending in the U.S. amid a stronger Dollar. In New York, the department stores Bergdorf Goodman (owned by Neiman Marcus) also posted lower sales, as both are located too close to the Trump Tower.
