On February 16, Reuters reported that Shein (valued at US$50 billion in 2021) is planning more staff and expanding in Singapore, where the Chinese pure player moved headquarters.

The fast fashion pure-player quadrupled staff in the country, with a goal of 200 employees at the end of 2022. The recruits are for e-commerce marketing, influencer marketing and social media.
