While the recovery is “slow and fragile” in China, the SMCP Group (Sandro, Maje, Claudie Pierlot, Fursac) announced on November 30^th an agreement with Reliance Brands Ltd. This moves into India via a moderate expansion plan, with 3 openings expected per year in 2024 and 2025. The two brands are Sandro, which generates the majority of SMCP sales, and Maje. This growth will be via an exclusive distribution agreement with Reliance Retail. The first 2 stores will open in 2024 in the Jio World Plaza
