After TikTok (1.09 billion users in April 2023) with TikTokShop, it’s now YouTube‘s turn (2.53 billion) to launch a live shopping channel. The video platform owned by Alphabet announced on 21st June a launch of the new service on 30th June in South Korea, according to the Yonhap News website. For this launch, YouTube plans to broadcast live shopping videos with around 30 brands.
