The Russian billionaire Mikhail Fridman succeeded in taking over the Dia discounter. Already the major shareholder, Fridman won the support of banks like Santander to avoid bankruptcy for Dia. The investment fund LetterOne acquired 40.76% of the shares and now holds 69.77%.
