Pressure is rising for office-supply retailers worldwide. In the wake of rival Office Depot, the U.S. office-supply retailer Staples is planning to end the Chinese venture. Staples is discussing with potential Asian buyers for its operations in China, i.e. about 30 stores primarily located in Eastern China’s shopping malls.
