For a year, Carrefour has been looking for a buyer for the Taiwanese business (sales excluding V.A.T. in 2021 was €2.5 billion via 340 stores, including 68 hypermarkets and 129 malls). The sale is completed. On 19 July 2022, the group signed an agreement with Uni-President, which would take a majority stake for €1 billion.
