Tesco made a debut in Kenya via the F&F fashion chain. The first store opened in December 2016 in The Hub (Karen vicinity in Nairobi), where Majid Al Futtaim already operates a Carrefour hypermarket. Deacons, the franchise of F&F in Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda, plans a 2nd opening in January 2017 in the Sarit Centre (in Westlands vicinity in Nairobi) and is reviewing further locations. The franchise agreement is directed to open 5 shops over the next 5 years.
