Customer data, at the heart of retailing assets, is also of use to cybercriminals. After Zadig & Voltaire and LDLC, Truffaut, Boulanger and Cultura have now fallen victim. Pepe Jeans and Grosbill may have been targeted.
On September 12, 2024, Truffaut confirmed that 277,000 customer accounts had been affected by a cyber attack. “Personal data linked to orders made on Truffaut.com (order history, physical address…) has been targeted” said the gardening retailer, but no “banking data is affected”. According to Truffaut, an “external IT service providers was targeted by an act of cyber-maliciousness”.
On September 9, Boulanger confirmed that a cyber attack compromised the data of “several hundred thousand”...
