According to Placer.ai, shopping centre traffic in the U.S.A. is almost back to pre-Covid-19 levels. While foot traffic in 2021 was 10.9% lower than in 2019, figures improved by 2023.  Last year, it was only 2.3% down on the pre-Covid-19 level. While the gap has narrowed considerably for all types of mall, this is particularly true for retail parks (open-air centres).
