According to C.B.R.E., Emirati consumers are more cautious in their retail spending due to higher costs of living and the impact of the 5% V.A.T. launched in January 2018. However, over the next 3 years, an additional 1.9 million sq.m GLA is expected in the U.A.E., representing almost 18% of the current sq.m GLA.
