According to the General Statistics Office, retail sales of US$107 billion were up by 10.7% during the first 10 months of the year in Vietnam, with a population of 93 million. Excluding inflation, sales increased by 9.4%. Retail spending on restaurant and catering services jumped by 12.5% on the same period. Textile and clothes grew by 9.8% and home appliances by 8.8%.
