Walmart, the world's leading retailer, published annual financial results and notes that 2020 and 2021 have been a complex year. Their results show a sustained turnover growth and large expansion of e-commerce that did not lose margin. However, international activity showed difficulties.
For Walmart, which presented annual results in mid-February, sales reached US$572.7 billion in the year to January 2022. At constant rates, growth was 1.6%, which is a good performance given the strong historical growth of 8% a year earlier.
