On July 30, China’s leading e-commerce company JD.com announced the acquisition of German electronics specialist Ceconomy (1,030 MediaMarkt and Saturn stores, 50,000 employees). The undisclosed transaction values the German company at 2.23 billion euros. The transaction is expected to be completed in the first half of 2026.
