In a few months, conversational search engines have revolutionised the way consumers gather information, compare products and purchase. They are gaining an increasing share of web traffic and becoming key influencers of purchasing decisions. These LLM tools, which retailers are also adopting to improve consumer experience on their own websites, are leading to a strategic battle: a retail disintermediation and new advertising modes integrated into conversations.
