The news. On the eve of the August 28 meeting of the National Council for Employment, Productivity and the Vital and Mobile Minimum Wage, the Argentine government said it was encouraging an increase in the minimum wage on a voluntary basis, through sector-level negotiations between employer representatives and trade unions.
