The Belgian social partners, gathered at the National Labor Council on April 29, 2008, adopted a collective agreement (CCT) to transpose article 16 of Directive 2005/56 of October 26, 2005 on cross-border mergers of limited liability companies. An opinion comments on the agreement and clarifies the necessary legal interventions to complete the implementation of the Directive. (Ref. 080386)
On April 29, the Belgian social partners adopted a collective agreement (CCT), No. 94, to transpose article 16 of the Directive which aims at ensuring that the cross-border merger of limited liability companies does not lead to a removal or weakening of the employees’ participation rights as enjoyed in the companies taking part in the cross-border merger.
