Belgium: a collective agreement transposes the provisions on employee participation of the directive on cross-border mergers

The Belgian social partners, gathered at the National Labor Council on April 29, 2008, adopted a collective agreement (CCT) to transpose article 16 of Directive 2005/56 of October 26, 2005 on cross-border mergers of limited liability companies. An opinion comments on the agreement and clarifies the necessary legal interventions to complete the implementation of the Directive. (Ref. 080386)
