Belgium got a new legislation concerning the prevention of psychosocial risks in June 2007 (see our articles No.070504 and 070521) which encourages employers to prevent violence and harassment behaviours as well as any other situation which can create a psychosocial burden (stress, conflicts... This legislation - one of the most comprehensive in the European union - is explained in a brochure edited by the Belgian Labour Department (SPF Employment, Labour and Social Dialogue). (Ref. 070903)
This brochure defines the notion of psychosocial burden at work and details the different elements which have to be set up for a prevention policy. Besides, it also specifies the action ways in which the people who think that they are subject to a psychosocial burden can turn towards. A list of useful tools and addresses is presented at the end of the brochure.
