Bulgaria: measures to promote the employment of mothers and young people

As part of its national employment plan, the government adopted a series of measures to promote the employment of mothers, skilled young workers or even unskilled workers. (Ref. 080604)

These measures take the form of financial
incentives for employers who:

  • Employ or support the vocational
    training of mothers of children aged 3-5;
  • Employ young skilled workers
    below the age of 29 and who received their vocational qualification in the past 24 months and who
    never got a job;
  • Employ people without an
    A-levels’ degree or without skills.

In order to increase employees’ mobility
and flexibility on the labor market, employers who pay for the travel expenses
of their employees living
