Over 1,000 workers from an IBM factory in Shenzhen, China, have been on strike for 4 days to protest against the conditions of their transfer to Chinese PC maker Lenovo.
Within the framework of a sale of production for its basic x86 server business to Lenovo for $2.3 billion (more than €1.6bn) agreed on February 27, IBM Great Wall International Systems, a subsidiary located in the Futian free trade zone in the city of Shenzhen, should be taken over by Lenovo.
