The Faos’ researchers surveyed nearly 11,000 representatives (including over 3,000 safety representatives), 1,475 “colleagues” (including 1,169 LO members, 164 members of “yellow unions” and 142 non-union members), 1,618 managers, 225 sectoral representatives, and different representatives from 15 LO federations, between August 1, 2010 and October 1, 2010. The results, compared with a previous Faos study carried out in 1998, show the evolution of the role and working conditions of union representatives over the past 12 years.
