Denmark: the new Working Environment Act has improved the quality of social dialogue on the subject

Earlier this month, Labor Minister Mette Frederiksen presented the first assessment report on the implementation of the Working Environment Act, which came into force in 2010. It shows how the new law has changed businesses’ activity in this area and how they have added the working environment to their strategy. The conclusion is that the goal to strengthen cooperation between management and workers on this theme and to better adapt regulations to businesses’ concrete needs has apparently been achieved. Nevertheless, there are still things to improve regarding the psychosocial environment at work and the involvement of representatives in planning training.
