On Monday, May 19, the European mission for flexicurity started, in France, a Euro trip which should lead, at the end of 2008, to the publication of a report for the establishment of flexicurity principles in the 27 EU Member States. (Ref. 080409)
France is the first step of a series of trips for the European mission on flexicurity. Co-chaired by the European Commissioner for Social Affairs, Vladimir Spidla, and the representative of the future French EU presidency, Gérard Larcher, this mission follows a meeting of EU employment ministers in Brdo in January. Major innovation : the European social partners closely joined this mission, since it includes representatives from the European Trade Union Confederation and from BusinessEurope.
