Employment and Social Affairs of the European Parliament be the same as the previous one: rather ready to criticize the European Commission’s inactivity and cause difficulties to the Council of Ministers? Presided by French socialist MP Pervenche Berès, the new committee obviously looks like the European Parliament: the gap between the center-right (EPP), the socialists and the democrats (S&D and former PES) has widened and the division of seats is more shattered. With three conservative MPs (ECR) adding to the group of euroskeptics, the European left could have problems making its propositions heard.
