France: the government wants to reform the working time framework in 2016
Prime Minister, Manuel Valls, announced on Wednesday 04 November a complete rewrite of the labor code over the next two years. The overhaul will comprise three levels: fundamental principles to be specifically presented within two months, arrangements for navigating between sector agreements and company agreements, and thirdly supplementary rules in situations where no agreements exist. The first project focusing on working time will result in a law to be voted on in the summer of 2016.
