France: unions appeal to the Council of Europe against the law of August 20, 2008 reforming working time

It concerns the “working time” chapter of the law of August 20, 2008 (see our dispatch No. 080976), which the union says is contrary to the provisions of the revised European Social Charter guaranteeing the right to rest, health and equal pay for workers. The CGT is hoping that the French legislator will review his copy in the light of the recommendations issued at European level. (Ref. 090129)
