On 27 March, the public services group Veolia (44,000 employees in France) and all the trade unions signed a framework agreement on experienced workers. This agreement, which focuses primarily on end-of-career arrangements, introduces an enforceable right to reduced working hours from the age of 55, as well as access to phased retirement from the age of 60. It also offers support for the second half of an employee’s career through the introduction of new career and health assessments.

On 27 March, the French group Veolia and the CFDT, CFE-CGC, CGT and FO trade unions concluded an initial framework agreement on the employment of older workers, in accordance with the 2025 Act on experienced employees.
