On 08 April, the European union federation, IndustriALL Europe, coordinated its trade union bodies with membership within General Electric to undertake a European Action Day taking place simultaneously at its Paris headquarters and at company sites all over Europe protesting a restructuring plan that is threatening 6,500 jobs.
Twenty-five national unions have organized worker mobilization efforts across various company sites making up a full day of European action coordinated by IndustriALL Europe.
