Employment Agency officially presents data on the apprenticeship market in 2008-09, the Confederation of German Trade Unions (DBG) presented, on October 7, 2009, the guidelines of a reform of apprenticeship statistics. Indeed, the DGB thinks that the figures presented “embellish the situation” and do not take account of long-term applicants, “cooped up on sidetracks”, i.e. around 300,000 youth each year.
