Germany: Did BenQ and Siemens knowingly fool their 3000 employees ?

The announcement of the voluntary liquidation of BenQ Mobile Gmbh, the former cell-phone division of Siemens, has triggered off a wave of protests. The firm is closing its doors and laying off 3000 people one year after it was sold. The works council of BenQ Mobile and IG Metall think that Siemens is morally and legally responsible before its former employees. (Ref. 06964)
