During the 13th ETUC Congress being held in Paris, Planet Labor interviewed Reiner Hoffmann, President of DGB on two issues that are currently capturing Germany’s attention: the refugee situation and the consequences for employment of digitalization.
- The refugee situation is currently taking up a lot of politicians’ and social partners’ time and attention. What can you tell us about the current situation?
Reiner Hoffmann. In general the subject is a big challenge in Europe. No single member state will be able to tackle at just the national level.
