Germany: new company agreement on the protection of data at the Deutsche Bahn

Always informing before doing.  “Negotiations with the management haven’t been extra smooth.  After what happened in recent years, we had to start from scratch” explained a member of the union’s management, Transnet Reiner Bieck, alongside the announcement of the Deutsche Bahn’s new company agreement. But after the negotiations, all bargaining parties (management, union and WC) said they were satisfied with the agreement reached.  “With this agreement, the DB is state-of-the-art regarding the fight for data protection.  "I don’t know anything better anywhere else" said Transnet leader Alexander Kirchner.  For his part, Gerd Becht, Director of Compliance and Legal Affairs at the DB, said this was a “cultural transformation” and a “futuristic agreement.”  “This new culture consists in the fact that we’ll always provide information before taking action” declared Jens Schwartz, VP of the DB’s central WC.
