According to a study introduced on November 16th, 2006 in Frankfurt by KfW - Bankengruppe, public banking group - since 2003, only German SME's have created jobs while the public sector and big firms have cut them. (Ref. 061157)

« When SME ’s invest, they create jobs. When big firms invest, they cut jobs, because mostly, their investments are accompanied by rationalization measures », said an ironical Ingrid Matthäus-Maier, chairwoman of the KfW – Bankengruppe, introducing the results of « Mittelstandpanels 2006 », an annual opinion poll of to 10 000 – 15 000 German SME’s of all sectors.
