The representatives of the two Grand Coalition parties present at the Commission in charge of giving a ruling on German bosses' wages agreed on several issues and want to give shareholders and staff representatives the right to inspect the amount of the salary of the CEO of their firm. Conservatives and social-democrats finally
reached an agreement on the issue of bosses’ wages. “There are definitely more
similarities than differences between us and the SPD” said Hans-Peter Friedrich,
VP of the conservative Parliamentary group. This was an answer to his
social-democrat counterpart, Joachim Poss, who declared last week: “The will to
find an agreement is definitely there.”
