Germany: the chemical industry union (IG BCE) presents its demands regarding the 2007 tariff negotiations.

After the German chemical industry underwent a 6% growth in sales (81.2 billion euros) during the first semester 2006, IG BCE wants to put wage increases and apprenticeship at the center of the next collective negotiations, starting January 2007. (Ref 061053)

G BCE, the German chemical union – which covers a sector employing 560,000 people in 1,900 firms – plans to put wage increases and apprenticeship at the center of the tariff negotiations which will start in January 2007. “The sector’s situation is improving due to excellent export results.
