Promised since 1997 by the Labour Party and eagerly-awaited by trade unions, it will make legal proceedings easier. It creates a new offence of “corporate manslaughter” which will apply when someone dies because a corporation’s senior management has grossly failed to enforce the basic safety rules to protect its employees or any other person (customers..).
